2014 Infiniti Q50
Another upscale brand with global aspirations, Infiniti has loaded the Q50 with advanced technology to stand apart. Among the technology advances: a steering system that gives drivers a spectrum of choices on how stiff the steering is, and an automated distance control feature that monitors not only the vehicle in front, but the vehicle in front of that one. The Q50 replaces the G sedan -- the brand’s top-selling model -- in Infiniti’s lineup. It is powered by a 328-hp, 3.7-liter V-6 gasoline engine. A 3.5-liter gasoline-electric hybrid model also will be available. Both models are equipped with a seven-speed automatic transmission and steering column-mounted shift paddles. Rear- or all-wheel drive will be offered with either powertrain. A coupe and convertible are in the works, too.
