Peugeot 207 Epure
The 207 Epure takes most of the 207's styling details. The production version will be called the 207 CC and will go on sale starting next summer after the production version debuts at the Geneva auto show in March. German roof systems supplier Edscha will supply the 207 CC's hardtop, replacing France's Heuliez, which builds the 206 CC's roof system. The Epure is powered by PSA/Peugeot-Citroen's latest experimental fuel cell technology. Five small hydrogen tanks in the trunk provide the car's fuel. A fuel cell converts hydrogen, together with oxygen, into water, producing electricity that charges the car's lithium-ion battery. The battery powers the electric motor that drives the car. Peugeot says it painted the 207 Epure pearl-white to highlight its environmentally friendly powertrain. Peugeot says the 207 Epure's range is 350km. Its top speed is 130kph.
