What it is: Super Chief tri-flex supercharged V-10 engine
Who did it: Ford Motor Co.
Why it is important: Ford already makes vehicles that run on either gasoline or E85, an ethanol-gasoline blend. The engine on the Ford F-250 Super Chief can run on either of those fuels or hydrogen. The ability to use more than one fuel enables the giant truck to cruise around 500 miles before refueling.PHOTOS: Richard Watson
