Ford Escape Hybrid
Ford’s Escape is completely new for 2008, closely resembling its bigger SUV brethren, Explorer and Expedition. The follow-up to the best-selling compact SUV features tougher looks with a raised beltline and is said to feature the first automotive application of entirely recycled materials for its seating surfaces in the U.S. Base power comes from a 153-hp four-cylinder, with highline versions getting a 200-hp V6. The hybrid version also continues with its full hybrid system that enables the Escape to run up to 30 mph on electric power alone.
