Dr. Glenn Omura is an associate professor of marketing and competitive strategy at Michigan State University. At Michigan State, he pioneered MBA courses in strategic planning, managing change, entrepreneurial marketing, competitor analysis, and competitive strategy. Business Week has cited him as the top marketing professor at Michigan State since 1994. He has provided professional services to a number of international organizations. His work includes "in-house" corporate and government training programs. He has been asked to present his programs throughout the USA, Western and Central Europe, and the Pacific Basin. Dr. Omura's professional interests focus on the theory and practice of market creation, competitor behavior and entrepreneurship. He has authored numerous articles in the strategy area and his article, "An Evaluation of Alternative Paradigms of Marketing and Economic Development," won the Charles Slater Best Paper Award in the Journal of Macro Marketing.
