Nissan Plant Tour

Nissan North America, Inc. is offering two VIP tours of their Smyrna Manufacturing Plant to conference delegates.

When production started in June 1983, Nissan's first vehicle assembly plant in the United States produced one model: a compact pickup truck. The plant now represents a capital investment of $2.5 billion and covers 5.4 million square feet on an 884-acre site. With the capacity to build 550,000 vehicles a year, Nissan employees in Smyrna produce the Nissan Altima sedan, Nissan Frontier trucks, Nissan Maxima sport sedans, Nissan Xterra sport utility vehicles and Nissan Pathfinder sport utility vehicles. In the fall of 2006, construction of a $4.2 million test track was completed, conforming to the global standard Nissan has developed for all its production test tracks worldwide.
