Kevin Filan joined AutoTrader Group in September 2011 as the Vice President of Customer Marketing and Industry Relations, bringing an extensive marketing expertise, particularly in automotive and B2B. Prior to joining AutoTrader Group, Kevin worked in various marketing roles at Ford Motor Company, where he gained valuable experience working on both the OEM and Dealer sides of the business.
Following his time at Ford, he gained further B2B and B2C marketing expertise in the automotive, industrials and consumer packaged goods space. He has also held leadership positions at Georgia Pacific and most recently Ciba Vision/Alcon, where he led a team responsible for establishing customer growth strategies, account business planning, channel/customer pricing strategy, and customer promotional programs and advertising across a wide variety of channels.
Prior to starting his marketing career, Kevin spent nearly 10 years in the United States Navy where he was a Naval Officer and Aviator successfully completing 1,700 flight hours and two six-month deployments to the Middle East & Mediterranean.
At AutoTrader Group, Kevin is responsible for overseeing the customer marketing, industry relations and dealer training groups.
He is responsible for developing a broader B2B positioning strategy and trade communications that include a holistic view across all of AutoTrader Group. Through Kevin's vast marketing and leadership experience, he plays an instrumental role in leading AutoTrader Group's efforts in meeting the evolving needs of its customers and the industry.
Kevin holds an undergraduate degree from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA from Duke University.
