Skinner on showing employees they are valued

"Over the summer, we have a great company picnic where we invite all of our employees and their families to join us at a local campground. The day is filled with fun family activities, team-building events and lots of food and beverage. Everybody has a great time and really looks forward to it. In addition, we provide lunch on the weekends for all of the employees, and occasionally, I'll surprise the staff and spend the afternoon grilling for the team. During the fall, we do haunted houses, hayrides, escape rooms, etc. During the holidays, we have Santa and Mrs. Claus visit the dealership for the staff and their families."

Skinner on keeping employees engaged

"We provide a supportive atmosphere and encourage employee feedback and interaction. We make sure each employee has the tools, training and coaching to be successful. We share the 'whats,' 'whys' and 'hows' and congratulate each team member for their participation in our success. We can only succeed and win as a team."

Skinner on a successful healthy living program

"We regularly do weight watcher programs, biggest loser challenges and have special programs and discounts for the local gyms and fitness centers for our team."

Skinner on attracting employees

"We offer tuition reimbursement for our technicians attending trade school."
