Honda recruited musician Moses Sumney to create a music video that brilliantly utilizes the technology that allows a user to pan across a surrounding. The setting is a garage sporting several 2016 Civics. Sumney begins with a beatbox and a clap, and his image proceeds to split across the room, using the Hondas to create a beat that he sings against. It’s a sheer pleasure to listen along while shifting the viewpoint to track the musician. “360-Degree Music Video” comes in at No. 10 with 1,084,248 views. Hyundai also finds creative new uses for technology in our No. 2 spot, “Extreme Boldness.” The premise: A space shuttle is crashing to Earth deep in the desert amid a hail of asteroids. A sole driver in a Hyundai Elantra sees the shuttle and rescues the crew. To make it out of the asteroid shower alive, though, the driver uses the Elantra’s blind-spot detection to avoid being hit by speeding balls of fire. The spot garnered 3,058,666 views. Also new this week is Nissan’s “Ready, Steady, Go” ranked third with 2,409,302 views; Jaguar’s “F-TYPE SVR,” ranked sixth with 1,545,382 views; and Ford’s “2016 Ranger,” ranked ninth with 1,159,215 views.
