Automotive News to host dealer conference at NADA

Automotive News will host a half-day conference devoted to dealer issues on Jan. 22 in San Francisco.

The Automotive News Retail Forum will be held at the Hotel InterContinental during the National Automobile Dealers Association convention.

Mike Jackson, CEO of AutoNation, the largest public dealership group based in the United States, will be the Retail Forum's keynote speaker.

Other speakers include John Krafcik, president of TrueCar; Avi Steinlauf, CEO of Edmunds.com; Alex Vetter, senior vice president of sales at Cars.com; Bernie Moreno, president of Collection Auto Group; and Rita Case, vice president of Rick Case Automotive Group.

Registration for the NADA convention and the Retail Forum opens today, July 21.

The Retail Forum will feature a dozen speakers addressing the most important issues facing car dealers. Industry leaders will discuss hiring trends and training, employee retention, the future of third-party shopping, retail regulation and data protection.

Automotive News also will honor the recent recipients of the retail 40 Under 40 award during a lunchtime program. Ally Auto is the exclusive sponsor of the retail award.

Registration for the Retail Forum includes access to the NADA welcome reception at the San Francisco Marriott.
