Jeep's 6 Moab customs feature more available parts than previous concepts

This year’s crop of Moab Jeeps mostly features parts either already available from Mopar or intended for production.

DETROIT -- Chrysler Group’s Jeep and Mopar brands have customized six concept vehicles, including two 2014 Jeep Cherokees, for this year’s Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah.

The event, which draws thousands of Jeep enthusiasts to the off-road trails in the Utah dessert, takes place this year from April 12 to 20. Each year since 2002, Jeep and Mopar have trucked specially built Jeeps to the Safari to drive them among Jeep enthusiasts and gather customer feedback on the modifications they have made.

Unlike previous years’ designs, most of this year’s crop of Moab Jeeps feature parts either already available from Mopar or intended for production. The vehicles will be on display and driving the trails in Moab throughout the Safari.
