Ford to show freshened Focus at New York show

The refreshed Focus features a restyled hood and grille.

Ford Motor Co. said today it will show the freshened Focus sedan and the Focus Electric during the New York auto show press days next week.

The Focus features a restyled hood and grille, LED lighting for headlights and taillights, new rear light clusters and a restyled trunk lid. Ford will offer the 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine with a new six-speed manual transmission as an option.

The Focus gets new technology as well, including a rearview camera and optional blind spot and lane departure warning systems.

The unveiling follows the debut of the hatchback version at last month’s Geneva auto show.
