Even cops love Subaru. Or at least that's what the automaker's latest viral hit would like you to think.
The spot, "WRX Cop Tow," is a simple home-video showing a WRX utilizing its all-wheel drive to tow a cop car out of the snow. "Should you ever find yourself cruising through the neighborhood in a WRX of your own," the narrator says, "don't be surprised if the local police just give you a friendly wave." The 30 second ad jumped to No. 1 on our list of auto brand viral videos with 993,613 views.
Ford Motor Co. struck gold with its spot parodying Cadillac's infamous ELR ad. In the ad, created by Team Detroit, a Motor City environmentalist tells the story of her sustainability firm Detroit Dirt with a line-by-line parallel of the Cadillac commercial. She climbs into a C-Max at the end. The spot comes in third with 602,331 views.
Also new this week is Toyota's "Dream Car Contest" introduction video, ranked second by Visible Measures with 727,748 views, and Lexus's "Track Honed," ranked sixth by Visible Measures with 310,197 views.
