Subaru of Wichita answered a protest sign placed in front of the store with a sign of its own, and claims to have made a lot of friends as a result.

The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 201 is protesting the dealership's use of a nonunion subcontractor to finish a drywall job as part of a $1.5 million facilities project.

Union picketers posted a sign that reads "Shame on Subaru of Wichita" next to the store driveway. The dealership countered with a companion sign that says: "For Having Unbeatable Prices."

The signs went viral last week, and Aaron Wirtz, Subaru of Wichita's marketing and media manager, says there has been an outpouring of support. Wirtz was interviewed by "Fox & Friends" about the dispute, and he says "likes" on the store's Facebook page and visits to its Web site have soared.
