This year for the third time, Automotive News is conducting a program to determine the 100 Best Dealerships To Work For in the United States and Canada. In a few weeks, though, the time for registering will be past, and so will your opportunity to take part.
This has been an exciting project for Automotive News. In the past two years, we have had thousands of entries and two great celebrations in Chicago with the winners. This year it looks like we will set a record and undoubtedly will have another festive October evening at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago.
Becoming one of the 100 Best Dealerships To Work For is an outstanding accomplishment. The program, which measures workplace satisfaction at new-vehicle stores through a confidential survey of employers and employees, attracts the best and the brightest.
The values shared by the 100 best dealerships are nothing short of outstanding. All of us at Automotive News have been pleasantly surprised by the degree of pride this recognition can bring to automotive retailers.
A store chosen as one of the 100 best dealerships has an advantage in hiring and retention and also gains in standing in the community and the industry.
There are few occasions during the year that are as exciting as the evening when the 100 best dealerships are announced and celebrated. Certainly it is a high point for many of us at Automotive News. Once again, I look forward to celebrating with the winners.
There is nothing U.S. and Canadian auto dealers enjoy more than competing in their communities and across the industry.
