GM added 21 minority-owned dealerships last year

General Motors awarded dealerships to 21 minority members in 2013 and set a goal to add 25 this year, said Eric Peterson, GM's U.S. vice president of diversity dealer relations.

At the end of 2013, GM had 208 minority-owned dealerships, for a net gain of 10. Of the total, Hispanics owned 106, African-Americans owned 40, Asian-Americans owned 36 and Native Americans owned 26.
