Heroic tale turns into trouble for Houston dealership
Rik Melartin was known as “The Finnisher,” an Olympic athlete turned car dealer who thwarted an armed robbery and built a series of car commercials around his crime-fighting persona. But things weren’t what they seemed. Today, a Houston-area dealership has distanced itself from the personality who claimed to “do heroic things” occasionally while making “great car deals happen” every day.
