Chevrolet has two new spots in our weekly auto brand viral video round-up leading into the holidays, tackling the dual nature of the merriest time of the year.
The first, "Black Friday Sale 2013," addresses post-Thanksgiving holiday shopping. In the spot, created by Commonwealth, a shopper reads Chevy's holiday deal off his smart phone -- "The best prices of the year," a salesman invokes -- only to get so excited over the sale that he accidentally borrows the glasses of a woman walking by who is definitely not his wife.
The spot comes in at No. 4 with 359,071 views.
The second Chevy spot, #TrulyRich, focuses on a more sentimental view of the holidays with an emphasis on family. Throughout the video, created by McCann (Detroit), a narrator utilizes a series of clever two-part phrases that emphasize the kind of qualities that make a man 'truly rich.' "We're not super models," says one. "We're trying our best to be role models." The visuals are just as heart-warming: A father whispering to his new-born baby, taking his kids to school, putting his cell phone down during dinner. The tag: "The new fuel-efficient 2013 Malibu, the car for the richest guys on earth." '#TrulyRich' is ranked sixth by Visible Measures with 231,738 views.
