David Allen
GULFPORT, Miss. -- David Allen, owner of Allen Toyota-Scion and Allen Hyundai here, died Feb. 18. He was 60.
He was a second-generation dealer and worked for his father, Bert Allen, for many years. Together they opened Bert Allen Toyota in 1987, with David Allen as co-owner and general manager. In 2001 David Allen fully acquired the Toyota business and renamed it Allen Toyota. He added Scion in 2004. In 2003 he opened Allen Hyundai.
David Allen's sons joined the family business in 2007, the year Bert Allen retired.
