The 2014 Flying Spur sedan has a carryover platform, but changes were made to the body, chassis and interior, says Bentley CEO Wolfgang Schreiber.

"It is more refined than the previous one -- more comfortable and quieter," Schreiber said. It's also 110 pounds lighter than the current model.

Schreiber made no sales prediction but said the current model has been on sale for seven years and more than 20,000 have been sold worldwide -- about 3,000 each year.

The Flying Spur goes on sale in the United States in June. It has a base price of $200,500, excluding shipping.
