North America car and truck production in February was essentially flat compared with a year earlier, edging up 2,508 units to 1,358,217.
Car production rose 3 percent in the United States but fell 5 percent in Canada and 1 percent in Mexico. North American car output eased 1 percent or 5,013 units.
Truck output slipped 1 percent in the United States and 1 percent in Canada but rose 5 percent in Mexico. North American truck production was essentially flat, off just 2,505 units.
Light-vehicle output rose 1 percent in both the United States and Mexico but slid 3 percent in Canada.
