For the second straight year, ADESA will auction off a Harley-Davidson motorcycle during the convention with the proceeds benefiting the Frank E. McCarthy Memorial Fund of the NADA Charitable Foundation. The foundation supports Canine Companions for Independence, which assists with the placement of companion dogs for physically disabled children and wounded military veterans.
The auction is scheduled for 1 p.m., Sunday, at ADESA's booth (22743). The highest bidder will take home a 2011 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy.
Last year, Barry Lundgren of Lundgren Honda of Auburn in Auburn, Mass., and Lundgren Honda Greenfield in Greenfield, Mass., took home a 2010 Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe FLSTN. His winning bid was $18,750.
Frank McCarthy was NADA president for more than 30 years. He died in February 2001.
