CPO sales ahead of last year

Industrywide certified used-vehicle sales totaled 147,872 units in November, up 7 percent over November 2011, and totaled 1,678,410 units in the first 11 months of the year, up 6 percent over the same period in 2011, according to data compiled by the Automotive News Data Center and Autodata Corp.

Toyota was the top-selling certified used-vehicle brand in November with 27,880 sales. That was 12 percent more than in November 2011. Toyota was also the top certified brand through November with sales of 302,481 units, which is flat compared with the same period last year.

Mercedes-Benz was tops in luxury certified used-vehicle sales last month and through November. It sold 7,113 units last month, up 29 percent from November 2011, and 73,431 through November, an increase of 7 percent.
