Toyota's N.A. technical center promotes 2 executives

Toyota Technical Center, a unit of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America Inc., has promoted Kristen Tabar to vice president of electrical systems engineering.
Tabar previously was general manager of electrical systems-2, where she had been responsible for the design and development of multimedia and telematics for Lexus and Toyota since 2010. She joined TTC in 1992 as an engineer of audio systems and component development.
In 2010, Automotive News named Tabar one of the 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry.
TTC also promoted Andrew Lund to chief engineer for the Toyota Sienna. Lund previously was executive program manager for the Sienna team, where he helped guide the launch of the 2011 Sienna.
He joined TTC in 1994 as a senior engineer in the materials engineering department and was promoted to manager in 1997. He transferred to product development and became program manager for the Sienna team in 2000, where he was promoted to executive program manager in 2004.
