SAGINAW, Mich. -- Joe Perkins has been named CFO of Nexteer Automotive, a supplier of steering systems. Perkins, 44, had been Nexteer’s controller. He joined the company in 2005 after stints at Delphi Corp. and General Motors.
Nexteer also named Frank Lubischer vice president of global engineering and COO of European operations. Lubischer, 50, worked for TRW before joining Nexteer.
Both changes were effective Dec. 1.
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- BASF has named Paul Whittleston vice president for automotive refinish coatings in North America, effective Jan. 1. He had been a staffer to the president of market and business development. Before joining BASF, Whittleston held a variety of jobs at Ciba Specialty Chemicals in the United Kingdom. He joined BASF when it acquired Ciba in 2009.
WARRENDALE, Pa. -- Jeff Hemphill, chief technical officer of the Schaeffler Group in North America, has been elected vice president of automotive for SAE International. Hemphill will begin his three-year term Jan. 1. He succeeds Mircea Gradu, vice president of automotive at Chrysler Group.
