Kobe expands aluminum forge in Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Kobe Aluminum Automotive Products is expanding its aluminum forge in Bowling Green, the governor's office announced. The $11 million expansion will enable the company to manufacture cast aluminum bars used for air conditioning compressors. The project will create 15 jobs.

Kobe Aluminum Automotive Products, of Bowling Green, is a joint venture among Kobe Steel Ltd., Mitsui & Co. Ltd. and Toyota Tsusho Corp. It forges aluminum suspension products for the auto industry.
