DETROIT -- Visteon Corp. today announced the hiring of Jeffrey Stafeil as executive vice president and CFO.
Stafeil, 42, will join his former boss, CEO Tim Leuliette, at the electronics, interiors and climate-control supplier on Nov. 2. Stafeil joins Visteon from Dura Automotive Systems LLC, where he most recently was CEO. Leuliette, 62, was CEO of Dura from 2008 to 2010.
Dura announced that Lynn Tilton, CEO of Dura’s private equity owner Patriarch Partners, will assume the role of interim CEO until Stafeil is replaced.
Stafeil replaces Michael Widgren as CFO at Visteon. Widgren will remain with the auto supplier as vice president, corporate controller and chief accounting officer, reporting to Stafeil, the company said in a statement.
Before Dura, Stafeil was CFO and a board member of Germany-based Klockner Pentablast Group and former CFO of Metaldyne Corp.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University and an MBA from Duke University.
