DETROIT -- Reid Bigland, head of Chrysler's U.S. sales as well as CEO of Chrysler Canada and the Dodge brand, will be the opening speaker on Jan. 16, the second day of the 2013 Automotive News World Congress.

Bigland, 45, is also a member of Fiat's Group Executive Council, the highest executive decision-making body within Fiat outside of its board of directors. He was named head of Dodge brand and U.S. sales in June 2011. He has been chairman, president and CEO of Chrysler Canada since July 2006.

The theme of the 2013 Automotive News World Congress is "Driving Change: Global Uncertainties/Local Opportunities." The event will be held Jan. 15-17 at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center during media preview week at the North American International Auto Show.
