Timken names new vice president of light-vehicle systems

Timken Co. has named John Law to the new position of vice president of light-vehicle systems.

Law will report to Brian Ruel, who became vice president of light-vehicle, off-highway and rail operations in September.

Law had been director of sales for light-vehicle systems.

Law joined the company in 1985 as a sales engineer. He had his first field sales assignment in the company’s Los Angeles sales office, then rose through the sales and product management ranks.

Timken, of Canton, Ohio, supplies bearings and other friction management and power transmission products and services. Last year, the company had sales of $5.2 billion. It has 21,000 employees in 30 countries.
