Ford is offering three gasoline-powered versions of the Fusion as well as a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid. Ford said Tuesday the Fusion hybrid gets 47 miles per gallon on the highway and in the city, topping the Camry hybrid. |
Ford Motor Co. has priced the redesigned 2013 Ford Fusion mid-sized sedan starting at $22,495, including shipping, the company said today.
Ford says the base price is identical to the base price of the outgoing 2012, even though the redesigned sedan comes with an additional $600 worth of content.
The base model comes with a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine.
Ford started shipping the 2013 Fusion to U.S. dealerships last week.
Ford also offers stop-start technology, which automatically shuts off the engine at stationary idle to preserve fuel during stop-and-go city driving, for $295. That option, which is available only with a 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine, is being offered for the first time in a Ford passenger car in the United States.
Sticker prices top out at $38,665, including shipping, for a Titanium version with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine and all-wheel drive.
Ford offers awd as a $2,000 option.
