JCI develops seats for Kia Cee’d

Johnson Controls Inc. has developed seats for the European Kia C’eed that are 12½ pounds lighter than the previous seats, reports IHS Supplier Business. The seat frames are made of high-strength steel. Johnson Controls also produces the C’eed’s headliner, from recycled polyurethane foam to reduce weight. The C’eed is assembled in Slovakia.
