TROY, Mich. — Behr GmbH & Co., a supplier of engine cooling components and air conditioning systems, has named Uwe Gerber vice president of operations of its U.S. unit. Gerber will be responsible for manufacturing and logistics. Previously, Gerber was in charge of Behr’s factory in Pforzheim, Germany. Behr, which is headquartered in Stuttgart, generated sales of $4.6 billion last year.
PLYMOUTH, Mich. -- Pi Innovo, a supplier of vehicle electronics, has named Dwight Hansell vice president of business development. Previously, Hansell held a variety of positions at AVL Powertrain Engineering Inc. Pi Innovo makes electronic modules for engines, active suspension systems, hybrid vehicles and aftertreatment systems.
CANTON, Ohio -- Timken Co.’s board of directors has elected Diane Creel, 63, a director of the company. The appointment restores the board to 12 members. Creel is the former CEO of Ecovation Inc., which devised waste-to-energy treatment programs for the food and beverage industry. Timken, which is headquartered in Canton, Ohio, produces bearings, seals and other components. Last year, the company generated sales of $5.2 billion.
