ThyssenKrupp sells U.S. foundry business

WAUPACA, Wis. -- ThyssenKrupp AG, a German materials and technology group, has sold a U.S. foundry business to KPS Capital Partners, a New York private equity firm. The foundry business, ThyssenKrupp Waupaca Inc., has four plants in Wisconsin plus facilities in Indiana and Tennessee. The company generated sales of $1.5 billion last year and employs 3,500 workers in three states.
