Magna E-Car Systems opens EV parts plant in Michigan

GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Magna E-Car Systems has opened a plant in Grand Blanc Township, Mich., to produce electric motors, inverters and powertrain controllers. The joint venture of Magna International Inc. and the Stronach Group will produce components for the electric Ford Focus and Fisker Karma. Magna E-Car Systems now has four facilities in North America and employs 700 people.
