April was the first month in which one of the freshly minted Fiat dealerships -- pardon us, salons, in official parlance -- topped 100 sales in a single month.

Fiat of Austin, located near a high-end mall in the Texas state capital, sold 107 Fiat 500s in April, or about 3 percent of the new brand's 3,849 sales across 158 dealers.

Not bad for a year-old dealership with just under 6,000 square feet of showroom space and a single model to sell.
