The Jaguar F-Type will get a V-8 engine option in addition to a supercharged V-6 when it debuts in 2013, sources tell Autoweek.

The two-seat sports car was confirmed in April at the New York auto show. At the Beijing show a couple of weeks later, Jaguar said the F-Type would get a supercharged 380-hp, 3.0-liter V-6.

An eight-speed automatic transmission will also be offered, and the V-6 has been developed from Jaguar's 5.0-liter V-8.
