TRW introduces touchpads for infotainment

LIVONIA, Mich. -- TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. has introduced a touchpad sensor with software that recognizes handwriting. The motorist can trace numbers, letters and symbols with his finger to issue infotainment commands. The touchpad, which can be positioned on the center console or door armrest, will be ready for production this year.
