From Chrysler, a logo that's not quite so daffy

The Viper’s old logo: Right-sideup, a snake; upside-down, it’s a Looney Tunes star.

Chrysler took great pains to hide details of the 2013 SRT Viper before its introduction last week at the New York auto show -- with one exception: the new logo, which it calls "Stryker."

Chrysler showed the logo in February in an effort to drum up interest for its resurrected two-seater. The coiled and slightly askew Stryker replaced "Fangs," the logo that adorned the Viper from 2003 to 2010.

The switch was OK with Viper fans, who winced at the more-than-passing resemblance between Fangs and Looney Tunes cartoon character Daffy Duck when the old emblem was viewed upside-down.
