Who doesn't like winning stuff? Or getting it free when you buy a product or service that you need or were going to purchase anyway?

Electronic gadgets, gift cards, a giant toolbox, even a motorcycle are among the prizes up for grabs if you're a dealer walking the exhibit floor at the NADA convention.

Giant signs at the NADA Used Car Guide booth promote free iPad 2 tablets with the purchase of a one-year subscription to its NADA Appraisal PRO used-vehicle appraisal tool. Manheim is giving away goodies such as Garmin navigation systems, Kindle Fire tablets and $200 Home Depot gift cards to winners of a game designed to showcase the attributes of its Manheim Simulcast Everywhere auction system.

Mopar, Chrysler Group's parts and accessories arm, is giving away huge toolboxes on wheels in daily raffles. The toolbox, which looks all of three feet high and about twice as wide, is a $4,631 value, its sign says.

Or how about winning a 2012 Harley-Davidson V-Rod 10th Anniversary Edition, being given away by software provider DealerTrack? Price starts at $15,999 not including freight, says Harley's Web site.
