Under Browning's leadership the past 14 months, Volkswagen Group of America is on a mission to improve VW's quality, image and profitability in North America. Browning, 52, has integrated a new executive team with experienced outsiders. Their focus is to solve quality problems quickly and improve customer and dealer satisfaction. The U.S. arm has a louder voice in product development, making sure new vehicles have the features and technology that will make them competitive in this market. What's more, this year VW will be profitable in the United States for the first time in 10 years.
