Under Perry, 58, AutoTrader.com has used a series of acquisitions over the past year to extend its influence among Internet auto shoppers dramatically. AutoTrader.com spent the early part of 2011 absorbing the December acquisitions of Kelley Blue Book, the iconic vehicle valuation site, and HomeNet Automotive, a leading provider of inventory management and merchandizing tools to dealers. In May, AutoTrader added VIN Solutions to its stable. The acquisitions will result in significant top-line growth at AutoTrader.com with the company expected to top $1 billion in revenue this year.
