BELLEAIR, Fla. -- Larry Dimmitt Jr., a longtime car dealer in Clearwater, Fla., died Nov. 9. He was 97. Dimmitt was a second-generation dealer. He took over the family business from his father in 1952, expanded it and remained active in it for decades. Two of his sons, Lawrence and Richard, and his grandsons now sell Chevrolet, Cadillac, Toyota, Land Rover, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, Lotus and McLaren vehicles in the Tampa Bay area.
