Marchionne: Suzuki would be interesting partner for Fiat in Asia

FRANKFURT (Reuters) -- Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne said today Suzuki would be an interesting partner for the Asian market.

Suzuki Motor wants to end its two-year-old alliance with Volkswagen AG after the German carmaker accused it of violating their partnership pact by agreeing a diesel engine deal with Fiat.

On another topic, Marchionne, who also is CEO of Chrysler Group, said there were no talks with the UAW retiree health care trust fund for its stake in Chrysler.
