Global lead for start-stop technology development, North American application, Ford Motor Co.

Chosen because: Gee, 49, must deliver innovative, cost-effective and energy-efficient control systems for Ford's electrified vehicles. For start-stop systems, Gee decides how the systems will work and makes sure the engineers and software writers develop hardware and software to meet performance specifications. Gee holds 15 U.S. and international patents with nine more start-stop and hybrid patents pending. He joined Ford's hybrid electric vehicle team 1999 and was a key part of developing the Escape and Fusion hybrids.
