Vice president, electric vehicle program, Renault

Chosen because: Koskas, 46, began his career in civil service at the French Ministry of Industry before joining Renault in 1997. Renault named Koskas head of the company's electric vehicle program on Dec. 1, 2008. He leads development of four EVs that represent a total budget of 1 billion euros, or about $1.41 billion, and implementation of partnerships that Renault, together with Nissan, signed with 100 utilities, governments and cities.

Quote: "The automotive industry is facing a major challenge: reduce its carbon footprint. On top of all efforts made on conventional engines, electric vehicle is the only technology that enables zero emission mobility at an affordable price."
