Chosen because: Lauer, 47, oversees DTE's vehicle-electrification initiatives, including its offer of reduced rates and $2,500 for each of up to 2,500 homeowners to pay for charging units and installation fees for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles such as the Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf. DTE also co-sponsors the Business of Plugging In conference in Detroit.

Quote: "DTE Energy wants to jump-start the adoption of electric vehicles in Michigan by providing charging stations and their installation -- a $2,500 value -- to the first 2,500 plug-in electric vehicle owners. We're also helping to move drivers in the direction by providing special pricing options, which enable off-peak charging at the cheapest rates."
