Chosen because: Iyengar, 48, has it all. All the responsibility, that is. She is responsible for electrification of all Chrysler Group vehicles, including controls, calibration, electrical system architecture, batteries and battery management system, and more. She is also responsible for development of the next generation of plug-in systems and vehicles. Chrysler is handling affiliate Fiat Group's vehicle electrification program as well. Chrysler abandoned its initial EV program after filing for bankruptcy in 2009; Iyengar must make up for that stoppage. Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has said Chrysler will produce 56,000 electrified vehicles annually by 2014.
