Vice chairman, Magna E-Car Systems

Chosen because: Under Robertson, Magna retrofitted a 2008 Ford Focus compact sedan with an all-electric powertrain, which Magna developed from scratch in six months. Robertson, 62, then sold Ford Motor Co. on the idea of using the Magna parts to develop the 2013 production version of the new Ford Focus electric vehicle due in showrooms late this year. This brand-new business for Magna now builds all the parts necessary for vehicle electrification and has 600 employees at three technical centers and a manufacturing plant.
