Chosen because: Weber, 55, has urged automakers to use electric motors built by suppliers - a point of controversy in the industry. Remy was formed in 1994 as a partial divestiture by General Motors of the former Delco Remy Division, which traces its roots to Remy Electric. It makes electric motors for cars, trucks, buses and heavy equipment.
