What's the top-selling minivan this year?

This sales race is fun to watch.

Through May, several hundred sales separated the top seller, the Dodge Caravan, from the No. 3 seller, the Toyota Sienna.

Specifically, the Caravan totaled 46,148 sales, up 12 percent. No. 2 was the Honda Odyssey with 45,734, a 6 percent gain, and Toyota sold 45,678 Siennas, up 35 percent.

The race got tighter last month -- with the No. 1 and No. 3 players separated by a mere 470 units.

Through April, the top three contenders were separated by 754 units, with the Toyota Sienna grabbing the No. 1 spot with sales of 37,060 units.

Where's last year's winner, the Chrysler Town & Country? It's in fourth place, finishing May with 39,398 sales, down 23 percent for the five-month period.
